| In
February 1998, we were sitting in our local pub called, believe it or
not, "the Robin Hood". Discussion turned to our favourite outlaw
and it dawned on us that something was missing. Nottingham is the international
focus for the world’s greatest legend yet the city, unlike others
across the world, did not even have a society to celebrate and promote
Robin Hood. That got us thinking and before long we came up with with an idea. We were already either designing websites or had an enthusiasm for Robin Hood and our city, so it seemed logical to put these together. Rather than create a focus just for Nottingham we would take Robin to the world through the power of the internet – and so, Robin Hood Limited and the World Wide Robin Hood Society were born. It’s an ambitious project and we hope what we have achieved is only the beginning. This site is the result. |
