If you have a pet theory as to who the real Robin Hood was, then let me have your ideas. Anyone good at cartoons or poetry? - I'd love to hear from you. Pick your favourite actor or actress out of any of the characters in a Robin Hood movie or tv series and write a profile about them - not necessarily confined to just the character of Robin Hood. The newsletter supports two charities - the World Wide Fund for Nature, by raising money in a sponsored walk, and SPANA (the Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad) by collecting used stamps. "Highly Strung!!" also has its first Honorary Member - Mr Richard Ashton, an English actor, who plays Little John in the Channel 5 series "The New Adventures of Robin Hood". I've been a secret Robin Hood fan for many years, and would like to share my interest with others. I enjoy the legend in all its forms - books, ballads, movies & tv shows. And the aim is to reflect all of this in the e-zine/newsletter. An extensive sources of information is included in the form of a bibliography and websites. I hope very soon to have a couple more Honorary Members, plus some interviews, and I plan a picture gallery, and special features on two great tv series, "The New Adventures of Robin Hood" & "Robin of Sherwood".
